近期，全国多地发生以全国第七次人口普查为由的诈骗案件，公安预警提示，人口普查不收取任何费用，通过电话、短信、网络社交工具自称人口普查工作人员以人口普查为由索取财物、财产、账号密码信息、短信验证码的都是诈骗！

据了解，人口普查每10年进行一次，新中国成立以来，已经成功进行过六次。人口普查不只是摸清人口总数，还要查清人口结构、分布等情况，也为制定和完善教育、就业等政策提供依据。普查员在两个环节入户工作，分别是摸底和登记。住户可以选择自主填报的方式，这也是首次采用。
