本届赛事共分为男子山地公开组、女子山地公开组、男子公路精英组组三个组别，共400余名运动员参赛。其中还有来自乌克兰、印度、俄罗斯等13个国家和地区的运动员参加该赛事。单站赛事总奖金高达20余万元人民币。

比赛起点和终点均设置在县城新时代广场，途经白塔路、永安大道、一环路、芙蓉大道，男子公路精英组骑行距离为60公里、男女山地公开组骑行距离为30公里、男子山地本地组骑行距离为12公里。

中国环四川（营山）国际自行车联赛是四川境内举办的一场世界级专业自行车赛事，由“四川自行车运动协会、四川日报全媒体集群和各分站赛举办地政府”共同主办。打造高质量体育文化精品工程，在推广全民健身运动的同时助推地方体育旅游经济发展。打造世界知名自行车IP赛事，力争未来与环青海南岛自行车赛、环青海湖自行车赛等国内成熟的自行车赛事看齐。
