安平镇地处南充市嘉陵区南部，距区政府35公里，李龙路中段。东靠世阳镇，西连盐溪乡，北接天星乡，南与龙岭镇接壤。2001年全镇幅员面积55平方公里，辖23个行政村。安平是很多人魂牵梦萦的家乡。当年的小山村，儿时热闹的街道，人山人海的逢场天！小伙伴跟随大人们一起赶场的记忆，相信在很多人一定印象深刻吧！

记忆中的母校
安平小学是一所历史悠久的学校。1939年-1994年南充县安平小学，设在安平镇高桥街14号，1994年分设安平小学，将校址迁至安平镇安新街63号，原安平小学校址成立安平二中，2007年9月安平二中与安平中学合并，2015年9月安平中学二校区回到安平小学怀抱。
